Berm 101

How to take ’em quicker.

1. Enter the corner high and wide so you can create a smooth arc as you go round it .

2. Keep your pedals level, do your braking before the corner (not in it !).

3. Lean in to the corner with your bike, trust your tires and let the bank of the berm hold you .

4. By the time you get to the middle of the corner , make sure your looking out to the next one. This will turn your hips and get you out of the corner early .

EXTRA⚡️- try pushing through your bars and pedals to get a boost round the corner . Pump in a similar way to a takeoff of a jump , just against the bank of the berm (see jump technique) . Drive in and Pop out . R-E-P-E-A-T until it feels good ✊
